Tank

Under a beautiful sunset on Thursday December 7th, 2023, Green Meadows Farm lost a legend
in Tank, our Brahma Steer.
Farmers Jake and Gretchen were by his side with his
lifelong best friend Cody, the bison, and surrounded
by the rest of his cattle friends.

Tank was born on Green Meadows Farm to his mom Annie on May 5th, 2007. He was born to be a star.
At 5 months old, he and Cody performed at their first farm show at Green Meadows Farm in Grand Prairie, TX.
Tank and Cody were always a team under the steady and caring hands of Farmer Candee Wachter.

When not entertaining at his home farm, Tank and Cody were a main feature at Green Meadows Farm
in Dallas and Jessup, MD. They were also a strong part of Green Meadows Farm’s “Native Lands.”
This cultural event entertained and educated school kids across the country each year in TX, LA,
FL, GA, NC, VA, PA, NJ, NY, MI, IL and MD until 2018.

In addition, Tank was invited every August from 2010 to 2020 to the Montgomery County Fair
to be displayed in “Old McDonald’s Barn”,
where he again, was the star. Anyone that had the privilege of meeting Tank was in awe of his size,
but more of his big soulful eyes that reflected wisdom, patience, and love for everyone (human and animal)
around him. He was the heart of our farm
and will be missed by all.

We will be planning a celebration of Tank’s life for the Spring. This celebration will be as big as Tank and will allow his Farmers the time they need to really
make this a special and fun day.

Rest in Peace Tank ♥
