Looking for a Place to Have Your Farm Party or Company Gathering?
Look no further because you have found it! Green Meadows Petting Farm is the place. We now offer parties all year long. We are excited about your interest in having a farm party at Green Meadows Farm in southern Frederick County. We have close to 200 animals (seasonally) on 123 acres of beautiful farmland in Urbana, Maryland, a wonderful, friendly staff and (this is for you Mom) flushing toilets!
ALL party packages at Green Meadows Farm include a three-hour time slot for an up-close, hands-on experience with lots and lots of farm animals. Morning parties are 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and afternoon parties are 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Everyone gets free feed for the goats, sheep, cows, llamas and alpacas! Birthday parties, during our open season, will also include a hayride and a pig race. Off Season parties will not include a pig race but hayrides can be added for a fee (weather permitting).
Party Tents 2024
March through November 10, 2024 – can accommodate up to 60 guests. The tents offer a private space for families or a business to set-up and have a gathering place for family, friends and co-workers. Six picnic tables are provided for each tent. For larger parties of 50 or more, you may want to reserve two party tents. Call our office for more information.
Stables Parties 2024
January 6 through March 10, 2024 – can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Winter birthday parties are held in the Stables, our beautiful heated party barn, with restrooms. Your party will include a visit to our Animal Barn and will feature up to 10 different types of our favorite farm animals for a hands-on and up-close experience. We will also provide free goat and cow feed so you can feed our friendly animals.
The Animal Barn will be open for two hours. For morning parties, the Animal Barn will be open from 10:00 am to 12 noon. For afternoon parties, the Animal Barn will be open from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Parties are welcome to enjoy the outdoor pens and play areas as well.
FAQs
Can we bring our own food, drinks, decorations, etc.?
Absolutely! We love to see all the creativity that goes into these parties!
Do my guests that are under 2 need an admission sticker?
Children 23 months and younger do not need an admission sticker so are not part of your attendance total.
What is in a goody bag?
The goody bags are red cellophane and contain a souvenir cup, farm pencil, animal finger puppet, sunglasses and a whistle (Items are subject to change based on availability.)
Can we arrive early to set-up and decorate?
Yes! We allot 30 minutes prior to your time slot for that purpose.
What places deliver to the farm?
Many restaurants will deliver to our farm and we welcome them all.
Can we bring a piñata to our party?
Of course – sounds like fun! We have supplied a chain at each tent to hang your pinata but if you need help in hanging yours, just let our Admissions Barn staff know.
What happens if there is inclement weather on the day of our party?
Is my deposit refundable?
Your payment is refundable if you cancel no later than 72 hours before your date or if there is inclement weather (referenced above). The processing fee is non-refundable.
